Certified Public Accountant

Prior to receiving his CPA license in 2013, Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University or Oregon (1997) and his Certificate in Accounting from LSU (2012). He also served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps in Haiti from 2001-2003. He worked for a local mid-sized CPA firm in Eugene for seven years before starting Schapiro CPA LLC. Michael is happily married and a father of two beautiful children.

Enrolled Tax Preparer

Rachel graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Sociology in 2007. As a restaurant manager throughout college, she began running payroll, bookkeeping and thinking about business function and finances in action. Rachel works closely with clients to help understand the tax process and streamline accounting systems. She's the proud mama of Frazier and Mavis, and spouse to Silas. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, gardening, and family time.

Accounting Assistant

Nate grew up in Hawaii and moved to the mainland to pursue a strong mathematics education. After careers in applied mathematics and math education he took a turn at managing restaurants and bars, even eventually dabbling in ownership. In the time of CoVid, he shifted back to mathematics expanding on the acquired various restaurant bookkeepings at Schapiro CPA. He has been enjoying learning from Michael and Rachel for over a year now.
